Moving Time Guardian Database

Note: Must use the CD or Installation Files with 9 digit activation or serial number. If you need to download a copy of the CD, you can contact support for a link as long as you have a support contract.

To take the database from the old machine, perform the following:

1. Control Panel , Administrative Tools, Services
2. Stop Apache 6 (or apache 5)
3. Stop ASA License (or sentinel services)
4. Stop Firebird Guardian
5. Copy TG.FDB (or tgpro.fdb/tgplus.fdb) from the Time Guardian DB Folder to a Flash Drive

At the new machine, copy the database from the Flash Drive

1. Control Panel , Administrative Tools, Services
2. Stop Apache 6 (or apache 5)
3. Stop ASA License (or sentinel services)
4. Stop Firebird Guardian
5. Paste TG.FDB (or tgpro.fdb/tgplus.fdb)  from the Flash Drive to the Time Guardian DB Folder new computer
6. Start ASA License (or sentinel services)
7. Start Firebird Guardian
8. Start Apache 6

Note: If activating the software fails, check if TCP port 7896 is blocked or internet access is available. Otherwise, use the phone-in activation option.
