How to install a remote client

Attached are instructions to installing a remote client. This only applies to Time Guardian version 5, plus or pro. Requirements are:

  • Server Time guardian directory must be shared
  • Full control share and security rights must be provided to time guardian users
  1. The issue is when the Windows 10 User is a Microsoft account vs local account. If set up as local user no issue, but if signed in as a Microsoft account have to open as administrator. If I set the icon to “Run as administrator” we of course get an additional window to click every time. Just thought I would share with you what is causing the issue. REPLY: It seems the local has admin rights and the MS account does not, you can add full rights to the folder security for everyone or users. 800 896 7035

  2. Followed the remote client install and got an error "Failed to authenticate client in ASA service. Check if ASA Service is running" this be installed on more than one PC? Have PC working fine, try to install remote client on another PC and recieved that error. REPLY: It can be installed in multiple PC as clients but could be blocked by firewall. 800 896 7035
