How to verify communcation settings for direct connect in Hand Punch units

Answer:
Please check your connections. For com1 it will be connected with the serial 2 screw connection in the rear of your pc. Please secure connection at the HP terminal as well.

You may verify comm settings at the HP itself by:

  1. Pressing clear + enter
  2. Password 2
  3. Set serial
  4. Rs232 must be set to Yes
  5. Set address must be set to 1

 
Note: You may need to supply your supervisor ID and hand
